What We Do
Harvest Mission’s Work
We long to see the poor and needy living in and around Visakhapatnam, India lives’ transformed to their full potential in the image of God. This is tangibly accomplished through our work with children, widows, and villages.
WORK WITH THE KIDS
Our “Kids Home” is a shelter to poor children from villages, tribal areas and city slums. We provide food, education, shelter, love, care, encouragement and Godly discipline so they can become strong, healthy employable adults in their society.
WORK WITH WIDOWS
We provide food, medical aid and monthly support for over 250 widows. We are preparing to provide a home for some widows who are homeless at the new widow home on campus.
WORK WITH VILLAGES
Harvest Mission constructs fresh water wells. We train and support village social workers who work through village centers to encourage community organization and organize to run periodic mobile medical and dental clinics.
MEDICAL AND DENTAL WORK
For several years we have run mobile clinics in several villages offering free examinations, medicines and dental work. Recently we opened a nonprofit dental clinic in inner city Visakhapatnam to offer reduced or free dental work to needy. Jessy’s daughter, Lydia, is a certified dentist who with her husband, Sandeep a medical doctor will run the clinic.
